Today Gavin took the initiative to clean up the whole playroom by himself, which is rare. Not only does he not clean up the playroom, he doesn’t really clean anything in general, and actually hinders the girls as they try to maintain the cleanliness of the playroom. However, they were at school today and Gavin wanted a tractor book, so I told him I wouldn’t get it for him unless he picked up the whole room. He actually did it. I found out he actually wanted a chapter book, which is funny since there are no pictures, but ever since John introduced the girls to chapter books on Saturday, they’ve been the big hit at our house. Here he is after it’s all done looking through his prized chapter book.

Day 103
Day 102
Here I am at nearly 32 weeks pregnant. I seriously feel so huge, but I got lots of compliments on this dress today at church. I was also told I look just like the Young Women (minus the pregnant part, hopefully, since we don’t want a bunch of pregnant teens walking around). It’s nice to know that I may feel massive, but I look “like a teenager.”
Day 101
Here is Hadley sitting quietly and entertaining herself. The kids are becoming more independent lately, and it’s not uncommon to look up and see just one of them doing something, and the others playing on the other side of the room. Hadley loves to draw, and on Saturdays she makes all sorts of pictures.
Day 100
In honor of day 100 of this blog, I forgot to take the picture, AGAIN. My brain is so sidetracked lately. But, here is the picture taken the day after in honor of the momentous 100. This is a picture of my dusted cupboard. I haven’t dusted in seriously 2 months, but on Friday I decided to just get it done. It’s such an easy chore, I’m not sure why I put it off, but I was so glad to see everything so clean.
Day 99
The girls are so diligent about doing their homework, and always remind me so they get it done in time. It’s usually not very frustrating, but sometimes we have a few struggles. They started this one late at night because we had flu shots earlier that day (those blue toys they are holding are the ones that John got them at McDonald’s after they were finished).
Day 98
Here is Emma proudly displaying her first book, entitled “The New Baby.” Besides calling the new baby a “her,” the story was quite fantastic. She was very proud and read us the whole thing, even getting special permission from her teacher to bring it home early. She had to take it back the next day, but it was fun to see her so excited.

Day 97
Today I went to visit my friend Tami right after dinner, so when I came home I realized I still had some dinner dishes that needed to be done. I left them for the next day. It was well worth it to visit with a friend, but it’s amazing how missing a night of dishes can make the kitchen seem like a disaster.
Day 96
I use a bag to collect all the used lancets and testing strips from my diabetes. The bag was pretty full today so I decided to empty it, but not until I took a picture. It makes me feel good to realize that I’m doing everything I can to manage my diabetes, even if it’s unpleasant. I can’t believe I’ve almost used 100 lancets already.
Day 95
Day 94
Day 93
Day 92
Today Gavin was playing “car” and wanted me to take his picture. He is very good at entertaining himself while the girls are at school.
Day 91
This huge bucket of crayons is what the kids haul all over the house. They recently had Aunt Stef donate to their crayon cause, so the tupperware is pretty full right now. They are also really smart to share, and combine all their crayons so they have lots of colors. It usually ends up in really random places, such as in the middle of the hallway.
Day 90
Day 89
Day 88
Day 87
Gavin gets more and more daring all the time. During his nap time, he quietly stacked not only the chair on top of the table, but a book on top of his chair to try and reach something on the very top of the bookshelves. And, he reached it by the way. He’s so sneaky.
Day 86
Day 85
Thursday, September 9
Now that I’m a diabetic, I have to be careful with my sugar. When I was first diabetic with the twins, I allowed myself to have one miniature peanut butter cup each night. It brought back a lot of memories to see my glorious old bag of peanut butter cups that are my rationed treats.

Day 83
This morning Stefani had to leave to fly back to Utah, and the girls were already at school when she got up to eat breakfast. Gavin was waiting for his oatmeal, so he decided to join Stefani while she ate her toast. He was like her little shadow, and followed her around all morning. He was really sad to see her go!
Day 82
Day 81
Day 80
I went in to say good night to Emma and she was sleeping with 2 babies. It was so cute to see her sleeping with her twins. She woke up and we agreed to put them in their “own bed” because it didn’t look too comfortable to have her face smashed against 2 baby heads. This was taken right after we gave the babies a new bed.
Day 79
Oh, I had to snap a picture of the Nilla wafers with the bag clip. I opened these one day before, and no matter what we do, the humidity still makes things soggy within a day or so.
Day 78
Here is a picture of how my week just got better and better. Gavin had a cough and gagged on his way home from dropping the girls off at school. As a result, he threw up in the van. Hooray! More throw up in the car! It was really hot, but I had to clean up the throw up in the car, clean off his car seat, shower him off, and then he threw up again when I tried to feed him breakfast. After that, we just kind of decided to set him up with a throw up bowl, and after that, he did great. This is a picture of his car seat cover drip drying in my bathroom.
Day 77
Day 76
Today I was working on my blog when I realized it was 11:00 a.m., and at right around that time tomorrow I would be done with my terrible glucose screen test. I had to take a picture of the time on the computer, which probably won’t even show up in this picture, but it was another reminder for me to keep perspective.
