John took the kids outside today to play with bubbles, and got a great picture of Gavin. He’s been experimenting with the new camera lens, and I think it was a great purchase!

I got released from the hospital on Saturday, October 23. This picture is blurry, but I had to document the room I lived in for 4 days. Plus, I love the hospital.
This is a picture of the flower arrangement John’s work sent. The duck vase is a bit much, but I had to post it mostly because every time I deliver, I miss my flowers. Either they go to the house when I’m in the hospital, or they get delivered to the hospital the day I go home, or I am too out of it to notice.
Since today was Grey’s birthday, I wanted to post his first picture that was ever taken of him. Happy Birthday Grey!
This is a picture of me in the assessment room at labor and delivery. I was actually feeling the contractions at this point, but they kept me overnight. Oh, how I don’t miss premature labor.
Today I went into premature labor, but before I did that, I took this picture of the playroom. It’s hilarious how our couch isn’t quite close enough to the tv. No, we need chairs. Ironically, I can barely stand to watch this tv because the couch is so close to it, but for kids, I guess it’s never close enough.
This mess in the sink is what we have every weekend because John makes crepes for the kids. He’s so dedicated and happy about it. I remember my dad making hotcakes nearly every weekend when I was a kid, and it’s nice to have rituals in life. John is great about cleaning up the mess and everything, so it’s a huge sacrifice on his part. Hooray for John!
Here is Gavin eating his snack with a full on jacket and hood. He loves this jacket, and it’s very amusing that he constantly thinks he needs to wear his jacket in the house even when it’s 77 degrees.
Here I am, 34 weeks pregnant and 3 days. I cannot believe I look this hideous, tired, and massive, but I wanted to remember it.
John did his annual 10 for Texas run, and he beat his old time by nearly a minute a mile. We couldn’t go meet him at the finish line this year because I’m on my self-induced bed rest, but we were still excited to see him come home from doing so well. The kids couldn’t wait to give him the cards they made him. Hooray John!
I forgot to have Gavin do his homework this weekend, so we were doing it on Monday morning before school. I drew a house, that sucked of course because I’m terrible at art. The twins came and improved upon it, and drew a chimney on it and everything. Then they all helped color it. I think their contribution was more of an art masterpiece than mine was.
Today the weather was awesome, and because it was Sunday afternoon, John was home and went outside with Gavin to play t-ball. Gavin was thrilled, and I even stood outside for a few minutes enjoying the nice weather. This is the first time Gavin has been able to play with this t-ball set since he got it for his birthday from Grandma and Grandpa Goodsell in June.
I had to take this picture through a window, but I couldn’t resist. Gavin was out helping John with the yard work, and he just loved the leaf blower.
I made some tapioca the other day because it’s low in sugar and it is so good. What else can you possibly say about such a tasty treat?
Here the girls are singing late at night. They learned a song in school, and sat up here and sang it over and over again for nearly 20 minutes. It was actually a song that I knew as a kid and had totally forgotten. It says something to the effect of, “Down by the bay, where the _______ grow, back to my home, I dare not go, . . . “ It was pretty fun to sit and listen to them.
