Day 130

John took the kids outside today to play with bubbles, and got a great picture of Gavin.  He’s been experimenting with the new camera lens, and I think it was a great purchase!

Day 129

I got released from the hospital on Saturday, October 23.  This picture is blurry, but I had to document the room I lived in for 4 days.  Plus, I love the hospital.

Day 128

This is a picture of the flower arrangement John’s work sent.  The duck vase is a bit much, but I had to post it mostly because every time I deliver, I miss my flowers.  Either they go to the house when I’m in the hospital, or they get delivered to the hospital the day I go home, or I am too out of it to notice.

Day 127

This is a picture of me the first time I was able to hold Grey.  It was such an amazing experience.

Day 126

Since today was Grey’s birthday, I wanted to post his first picture that was ever taken of him.  Happy Birthday Grey!

Day 125

This is a picture of me in the assessment room at labor and delivery.  I was actually feeling the contractions at this point, but they kept me overnight.  Oh, how I don’t miss premature labor.

Day 124

Today I went into premature labor, but before I did that, I took this picture of the playroom.  It’s hilarious how our couch isn’t quite close enough to the tv.  No, we need chairs.  Ironically, I can barely stand to watch this tv because the couch is so close to it, but for kids, I guess it’s never close enough.

Day 123

This mess in the sink is what we have every weekend because John makes crepes for the kids.  He’s so dedicated and happy about it.  I remember my dad making hotcakes nearly every weekend when I was a kid, and it’s nice to have rituals in life.  John is great about cleaning up the mess and everything, so it’s a huge sacrifice on his part.  Hooray for John!

Day 122

I went in to check on Hadley before bed and she had her stuffed panda sitting up and totally watching her.  I thought it was freaky looking, but I guess we could view it in an endearing, watching over her kind of way.DSC_0882-1

Day 121

This tomato is what Emma was begging for tonight.  We had BLT’s, and she just had to have my leftover tomato.  She is so funny, because she’s never even had a really decent tomato, but she thinks these store bought tomatoes are awesome.  It’s so amusing.DSC08605

Day 120

Here is Gavin eating his snack with a full on jacket and hood.  He loves this jacket, and it’s very amusing that he constantly thinks he needs to wear his jacket in the house even when it’s 77 degrees.

Day 119

Here I am, 34 weeks pregnant and 3 days.  I cannot believe I look this hideous, tired, and massive, but I wanted to remember it.

Day 118

Emma and Hadley set up this little reading station where they had pillows and blankets and sat on the slide to read.  It looked comfortable in a little kid kind of way, and they were pretty content.DSC08577

Day 117

Today Hadley made Gavin a robot card.  She was actually well behaved today when everyone was off school, and it was a huge relief.  Gavin was pretty pleased with this card (he tore it into teensy bits and it’s now all over the floor in his room).DSC_0880

Day 116

Today it really hit me how useless I am with this pregnancy.  We couldn’t find the charger to the camera, so John had to spend all sorts of time looking for it.  It’s so frustrating to not be able to help with anything!  Finally, we found it and here it is doing its magic.

Day 115

John did his annual 10 for Texas run, and he beat his old time by nearly a minute a mile.  We couldn’t go meet him at the finish line this year because I’m on my self-induced bed rest, but we were still excited to see him come home from doing so well.  The kids couldn’t wait to give him the cards they made him.  Hooray John!

Day 114

John set all his stuff out the night before his race, so I got a picture of it.  He had all his gear sitting on the couch, and it reminded me of how exciting it must be to have a big event the next day.  Nerve wracking, but exciting.DSC_0864

Day 113

The kids love book orders and I love book orders.  I get to rotate in some new books for very little money, and they love to look over the different options.  It’s a win-win!  Here is Hadley inspecting the order as I was trying to submit it online the night before it was due.DSC08574

Day 112

Now that I’m trying to take it easy I spend a lot of time on this couch.  I now lay at the opposite end from my morning sickness days, and I spend most of the time watching tv.  DSC08565

Day 111

This is the day after I got back from the hospital, and I was very tired.  My OCD was insane, hence the picture of my hand.  I was taking this picture to inspect it for cuts or something, but I guess I should always remember the extreme anxiety that came from this time in my life.DSC08563

Day 110

DSC08551

I forgot to have Gavin do his homework this weekend, so we were doing it on Monday morning before school.  I drew a house, that sucked of course because I’m terrible at art.  The twins came and improved upon it, and drew a chimney on it and everything.  Then they all helped color it.  I think their contribution was more of an art masterpiece than mine was.

Day 109

DSC08526

Today the weather was awesome, and because it was Sunday afternoon, John was home and went outside with Gavin to play t-ball.  Gavin was thrilled, and I even stood outside for a few minutes enjoying the nice weather.  This is the first time Gavin has been able to play with this t-ball set since he got it for his birthday from Grandma and Grandpa Goodsell in June.

Day 108

DSC08503-1 I have to admit that every time I give the kids a hair cut, I’m impressed that I can actually pull it off without it looking hideous and wretched.  Here is Hadley’s hair after it was cut.  I didn’t even style it, and it still looks decent.  I’m awesome!

Day 107

 DSC08500

I had to take this picture through a window, but I couldn’t resist.  Gavin was out helping John with the yard work, and he just loved the leaf blower.

Day 106

DSC08499

I made some tapioca the other day because it’s low in sugar and it is so good.  What else can you possibly say about such a tasty treat?

Day 105

DSC08488

I sat watching Gavin lick the cream spoon today and I thought, wow, this is how it’s done.

Day 104

DSC08486

Here the girls are singing late at night.  They learned a song in school, and sat up here and sang it over and over again for nearly 20 minutes.  It was actually a song that I knew as a kid and had totally forgotten.  It says something to the effect of, “Down by the bay, where the _______ grow, back to my home, I dare not go, . . . “  It was pretty fun to sit and listen to them.
