Day 245

Here is a picture of the jam that the girls have to get on their sandwiches lately because I didn’t make enough freezer jam this summer to last us through the winter.  Bad preparation on my part.  And in the background there’s a pineapple, which I LOVE.DSC09060

Day 244

Here’s a little leftover Valentine’s Day cookie that fell onto the floor.  It’s heresy to waste sugar cookies!  For shame.DSC09059

Day 243

I left these little heart notes for John this morning, since it was Valentines Day.  What a great holiday!DSC09058

Day 242

Cheryl gave me this game for Christmas, and John and I finally learned to play.  I LOVE it!DSC09057

Day 241

I thought Grey might like to swing with this little, soft dog.  Well, throughout the next hour, it gradually changed positions so it was staring him in the face and took on a choking stance.  Wow, what a freaky toy!

Day 240

Gavin’s room is always such a disaster at night, so I always have to take toys out and put them in the hall so he doesn’t play with them in the middle of the night or use scissors to cut something.  Here is his collection from one night.DSC_1624

Day 239

Lately I’ve been setting Grey down on a blanket when we get home from taking the girls to school.  He is pretty content to just sit there and look at thing while I make oatmeal for me and Gavin.

Day 238

When I go in and shower Gavin after school, I always smile when I see the girls’ sink.  It looks so much like they are teenagers with their jewelry, hair brushes and nail polish.  They are getting so old!

Day 237

Gavin loves to exercise with John, and always tells me he needs to do his exercises so he can get strong like dad.  Sometimes John is nice and lets him come in and exercise with him at night.

Day 236

Here is John reading a bedtime story to all of the kids one night.  It’s so fun that they actually like us (for now anyway!)DSC09045

Day 235

Here is a picture of the trusty old exersaucer that all our kids love.  We set it up today for Grey because he’s finally able to hold his head up better.  It’s still a little big for him, but it’s fun to get it out and think about how many hours of fun our kids got from that toy.

Day 234

Today John had to give Gavin’s room an overhaul to get ready to paint it.  The girls were in charge of scratching some stickers off the wall with a butter knife.  It took them so long—they’re so dedicated.DSC09039

Day 233

Today was supposed to be a blizzard, and they even cancelled school.  There was no snow, but the roads were icy.  It’s just strange to see a school cancellation over this.DSC09038

Day 232

School was cancelled, so we decided to let the kids stay up late and watch a show.  We chose “Despicable Me,” and had a late night movie.  DSC09036

Day 231

I’ve been meaning to buy a 2011 calendar for the past few weeks and never got around to it.  But, it drives me crazy to not have a calendar, so I made my own.  I feel so 10-years old and determined to make things work when you mom won’t take you to the store.DSC_1596

Day 230

The kids were watching “Up” after school, and they were laughing so hard.  It was so fun to listen.DSC_1595
