Day 278

Gavin is so creative and did this puzzle in his desk drawer in the morning while he waited for me to come and get him.

Day 277

Today was made robots, and it was a disaster.  It was for a school project for the girls, and we made Gavin one “just for fun” but he did not like it at all and had a major fit.  Here he is stomping on his robot.

Day 276

Today John took the kids to see “Rango” and then out to McDonald’s.  Gavin got a small action figure toy, and he has been playing with it non-stop.  I forgot to take the picture until today (Tuesday), so I couldn’t find the toy, but I’m assuming it’s somewhere in this huge mess of toys.

Day 275

Today I realized that Grey’s hair is really, really long.  It’s time for a hair cut soon.

Day 274

The kids planned a huge Barbie-Dinosaur picnic.  It was a hit.

Day 273

Today the kids built this awesome “thing” out of tinker toys.

Day 272

Today is Spring Break, and Emma decided to do all the puzzles.  It seems like something I would have done as a kid.

Day 271

Grey loves to suck on blankets.  No matter what type of fabric he can find, he starts sucking on it right away.

DSC09137

Day 270

Today was the first day Grey tried rice cereal.  His first “real food” was not a huge hit.

DSC09132

Day 269

We got out some new toys today for Grey, and he wasn’t so sure what he thought about them.  They’re definitely loud toys!

DSC09123

Day 268

Gavin used to love playing with this kit last year when I was in organic chemistry.  Now that I’m finished, I gave it to him, and he’s thrilled.

Day 267

Some days the best you can do for lunch is Fritos and a ginger cookie.  Awesome!

DSC09119

Day 266

The kids love to dance to the music I play while I make dinner.  Today all 3 of them came down and were having a great time jumping around and dancing.

Day 265

Today I was looking at Grey and realized he is huge.  He is so tall he barely fits in his bouncy anymore, and he loves to sit up and try to look at things.DSC09116

Day 264

I made some ginger cookies today.  I forgot how good they are, and all ginger cookies remind me of my Grandma Goodsell and how she used to buy gingersnaps and keep them in her pantry for when we came to visit.  They also remind me of when Stefani and Michael tried to make them one day when they were at our house and completely  messed them up.  We’re still not sure what happened there.DSC09115

Day 263

Grey sucks on everything, including the laundry.  No matter where he is, he finds the nearest piece of cloth and starts sucking on it.  He’s so funny.DSC09113

Day 262

This week, we’ve been very unfriendly to the environment.  I just don’t want a bunch of flu dishes in the house.DSC09108

Day 261

Here is what we have been doing at our house all week---taking the girls food to them upstairs  They are using paper plates because they have the flu.  It’s been so much work!DSC09107

Day 260

Here is Gavin with his crocodile dentist.  He insists that we play it all the time, and he pushes down all the teeth and always leaves the last one for me so that it snaps on my hand.  So nice.

Day 259

This is Grey’s first time ever sitting in the high chair.  He thought it was pretty fantastic, and it allowed me to cook dinner without him feeling sad.  A win/win situation!DSC09100

Day 258

I broke the cheese grater tonight making french bread pizzas.  How such an expensive grater can break so easily is beyond me.  This is our second Microplane that broke.DSC09099

Day 257

One day, I might not eat standing up and trying to read my nutrition magazine as I walk around the kitchen.  For now, this is life.DSC09098

Day 256

We had people over tonight for dessert for the first time in almost 6 months.  I finally feel like I’m sort of actually a person again.  This dark picture shows the family room after everyone had left.DSC09097

Day 255

We put the house up for sale this week, so this was the last night of “I’ll clean the kitchen in the morning.”  Way to go out in style.DSC09095

Day 254

Here is Gavin playing in his room with all of the play room furniture in his room.  We had to get the carpet stretched, so he stayed in his room and played with the stuff.DSC_1628

Day 253

Here is my sad, sad dresser that is on its way to the donation center.  It lasted us 10 years and saw us through a lot of life events.  Good old dresser.DSC09091

Day 252

Grey can officially try rice cereal now.  How can he be this old?

DSC09081

Day 251

Grey had to get his shots today.  He was so sad, but the scooby doo band-aids are pretty cute!

DSC09074

Day 250

The night before Grey’s 4 month vaccinations, I had to clean out the diaper bag.  It’s always kind of sad to move up a diaper size, so I had to take out the old ones and put it the new size.  Here are the old, small, newborn diapers that were taken out of the diaper bag.

Day 249

Here is Grey all content and sleeping.  He always sleeps with his arms up like this and wrapped up in his blanket like a burrito (this is his official 4 month old picture).DSC09072

Day 248

I made some shortbread, and Gavin decided to sneak a piece, bite by bite.

DSC09069

Day 247

Today was a sad, bittersweet day.  John got a vasectomy.  No more babies for us!  Here he is resting up from the surgery.DSC09070

Day 246

These little pants of Grey’s are from when he was first born.  They used to be perfectly long, and now they’re practically capri pants.  I can’t believe he’s growing so fast!DSC09063
